Quick Start Guide

First Things First

So you have a Wiser account. Now what? Aside from connecting your existing tools (Slack, Zoom, CRM - the usual suspects), we’ll dial in on two key concepts that will get your entire organization, from Sales on the front lines to feedback loops to your Product teams building the roadmap, up and running with actual deal intelligence:

  1. Prepare for and extract insights from Meeting Templates.

  2. Feed insights into Reports that fit your team and its goals.

Master these two concepts, and you'll stop chasing reps for updates while the rest of the org finally gets real voice of the customer data. That's the power of a unified intelligence system.

Step 0: Connect Your Tools

Before we dive into the good stuff, quickly connect what you're already using.

At the organization level, set up your integrations at Admin → Company Settings → Company Integrations.

  • Salesforce / Hubspot: Generate and sync data bi-directionally.

  • Slack: Send deal updates and coaching notifications to sellers and stakeholders.

  • Gong / Zoom: Plug into your existing call recording setup.

At the user level, connect your Google Calendar and Mail at Account → My Profile Settings → User Integrations.

  • Google Calendar: Unify schedule and meeting insights.

  • Gmail:

    • Draft prospect-ready meeting follow-ups with the click of a button.

    • Ingest emails into Wiser's knowledge graph so you always have the latest context on any account.

The best part of this step? Once this is done, it runs itself.

Core Concept #1: Meeting Templates

Insights and automations built for your team's process.

What Are Meeting Templates?

Think of Meeting Templates as intelligence-gathering autopilots. They're tailored for whatever meeting types you have–sales discovery, product feedback, customer success check-ins, whatever.

These templates automatically handle things we’ve all found ourselves having neglected:

  • Research: What to know before calls.

  • Post-call extraction: What insights to pull after meetings and how to handle them.

  • Customer and account insights: Aggregated insights from each call with a given customer.

Here's where it gets smart: Say you're a sales leader who wants to implement MEDDIC methodology, but your product marketing team wants VOC data to identify common pain points. No problem. You stack both playbooks into one template and pick which insights go to which team.

Your sales team gets MEDDIC scorecards. Your product team gets pain point analysis. Same meeting, multiple intelligence streams. No extra work for your reps.

The Architecture

Meeting Templates are collections of Prompt Sets, aka Playbooks, which are (naturally) sets of Prompts.

Within Wiser, you automatically have access to templated Prompts, Prompt Sets, and Meeting Templates. You can use them as-is or customize alongside the Wiser team based on your insight goals.

Prompts

Prompts are instructions that direct the LLM to conduct specific actions—such as research, data analysis, or information extraction—across your internal data sources (call recordings, CRM, etc.) and external sources (web, LinkedIn, etc.). These prompts tell Wiser exactly what to investigate, aggregate, or analyze.

Each Prompt becomes a specific insight that gets tracked across your meetings. Keep in mind, Prompts are granular, actionable questions that generate consistent data points—not vague "summarize this call" requests.

We can categorize these Prompts into 5 types:

  • Account: Account-level insights that pull from your calls, emails, web research, and CRM data (opportunities, deals, accounts, contacts) to surface strategic intelligence about entire customer relationships.

  • Pre-call prep: Meeting preparation Prompts that analyze account history and context, then automatically deliver insights via Slack or calendar invites before your scheduled calls.

  • Post-call tracker: Call-specific Prompts that analyze conversation transcripts and associated emails to extract actionable insights, next steps, and key decisions from individual meetings.

  • Contact: Message-drafting Prompts that help craft personalized outreach whether follow-up emails after meetings or initial outbound messages to new prospects.

  • Report: Data aggregation Prompts that run on defined schedules to build charts and visualizations in Wiser, plus deliver regular briefings via Slack for ongoing performance tracking.

Writing Prompts in Wiser

Remember, we will use Prompts within Prompt Sets, and Prompt Sets within Meeting Templates. So, let’s begin with our Prompts. Navigate to Admin → Prompts. You can always import a Prompt from Wiser’s Prompts Gallery (and modify as needed after you import it) or you can choose to  ‘Create Prompt’.

Every prompt consists of two core elements:

  • Name: A clear, searchable identifier for your Prompt (e.g., "Budget Authority Check" or "Next Steps Tracker")

  • Prompt: The actual instruction that analyzes your data and generates insights

Using Variables in Prompts

Variables allow you to create dynamic, reusable Prompts that automatically adapt to each account or meeting. Insert variables using curly brackets.

Common variables include:

  • {account_name} - Inserts the customer's company name

  • {tenant_name} - Inserts your sales team's company name

  • {call_time} - Inserts the time of the call (used for Call Prompts)

  • {current_date} - Inserts the current date (used for Account Prompts)

Example Prompt:

"Analyze the latest call with {account_name} and identify any mentions of budget constraints or approval processes. How does {tenant_name}'s solution address their specific cost concerns?"

Additional variables are available in your Company Settings page, including custom fields from your CRM.

Output Types

Choose between two main output formats based on your use case:

Free Text Outputs

  • Best for: Detailed analysis and summaries.

  • Benefit: Includes citations linking back to source material.

Prompt: "Summarize all competitive mentions from {account_name} calls this quarter."

Structured Outputs

  • Best for: Scorecarding and tracking specific metrics or quantitative insights.

  • Benefit: Gives a consistent data format that’s filterable and easily integrated with external tools.

  • Available data types:

    • Integer: Numeric values (e.g., "Number of stakeholders mentioned")

    • True/False: Binary decisions (e.g., "Was budget discussed?")

    • Single Select: One choice from options (e.g., "Deal stage: Discovery | Negotiation | Closed")

    • Multi-Select: Multiple choices (e.g., "Competitors mentioned: Competitor A, B, C")

    • Free Text: Open-ended responses with explanations

Note: In-line citations are not yet available for structured outputs.

Prompt: "Evaluate the buying signals of {account_name}"

Output type: Select

Options: Champion identified | Economic buyer engaged | Budget confirmed | Timeline set | Not ready

Additional field: Free text explanation

Configuration Options

Data Sources: Select relevant data sources from the bottom of the Prompt editor.

  • Call transcripts

  • Email threads

  • CRM data

  • Calendar events

  • LinkedIn Data

Prompt Destinations: Choose where insights should appear:

  • Within Wiser's interface (Account page, Call Insights tab, Coaching tab, etc.)

  • Third-party applications (Slack, Salesforce, HubSpot)

  • Multiple destinations for different stakeholders

Preview: Use the preview feature to:

  • Test your Prompt with sample data

Advanced Settings

Model Selection: Choose the appropriate AI model based on complexity and speed requirements.

Visual Indicators: Assign color codes to draw attention to critical outputs.

  • 🟢 Green: Positive signals (e.g., "Champion strongly engaged")

  • 🟡 Yellow: Needs attention (e.g., "Budget mentioned but not confirmed")

  • 🔴 Red: Risk indicators (e.g., "Competitor is preferred vendor")

  • No color: Neutral information

Color definition example:

Define your own definitions based on what matters most to your team.

Green: Decision maker actively participated and showed buying signals

Yellow: Decision maker attended but remained passive

Red: Decision maker absent or explicitly pushed back

Prompt Sets (aka Playbooks)

Prompt Sets are collections of Prompts grouped by methodology or purpose.

The "30 Minutes to President's Club Playbook" contains 21 Prompts covering their discovery framework. "Product Feedback and Requests" includes 7 Prompts to capture voice of the customer marketing data. You build these sets once, then mix and match them across different Meeting Templates depending on what intelligence you need from each call type.

Setting Up Your First Prompt Set is straightforward. Go to Prompts → Prompt Sets, create a new set, and add whatever Prompts you need.

Want a "Discovery Methodology" set? Drop in your qualification Prompts, pain point analysis, and next steps tracking. Building a "Product Feedback" set? Add feature request Prompts, satisfaction scoring, and competitive mentions. The Prompts do the work, and you're just organizing them into useful collections.

Meeting Templates

Meeting Templates are collections of Prompt Sets tailored for specific meeting types.

With your Prompt Sets created, you can now create a Meeting Template based on one of your common meeting types.

"MEDDIC Discovery Meeting" combines qualification Prompts with deal intelligence tracking. "30 Minutes to President's Club Discovery" does the same thing, just with different underlying Prompts based on their framework.

That's the architecture. Prompts capture specific insights, Prompt Sets group them by goal or methodology, and Meeting Templates bring the right sets together for each meeting type. The modular design means you can stack whatever your teams need—sales methodology plus VOC plus competitive intel—all from the same conversation.

Core Concept #2: Reports

From meeting chaos to organizational intelligence

What are Reports?

Meeting Template prompts extract insights, data, and actions from any individual call. Report Prompts enable synthesis; they connect the dots across all your calls to surface patterns and trends that drive organizational decisions.

Reports are collections of these Report Prompt insights pulled from all your calls, organized for whoever needs to see them. The data is completely filterable—by rep, by date range, by deal stage, whatever matters to your analysis. Create charts under Calls or Accounts/Opportunities → Create chart to visualize trends, then save multiple charts together as Report views.

Make them private for your own analysis or public across your org so everyone from sales managers to product teams can access the intelligence they need without having to dig through individual call summaries.

What Can I Visualize?

Based on who you are, you have virtually unlimited insights based on the report prompts you write.  Reports adapt to your organization's specific questions:

Wiser doesn't just dump data—it connects dots among teams…

  • Common Questions: What different types of prospects ask across every touchpoint

  • Competitive Intelligence: How your customers describe the pros, cons, and pricing of your competitors, synthesized in a weekly or monthly briefing

  • Coaching Scorecards: How your reps perform against one another against certain dimensions.

  • Product-Market Fit: Themes that emerge when customers explain value

… and deep-dives into the most critical questions at each part of the org.

Sales Intelligence

  • Rep Performance: "Sarah's discovery score vs. the team" (with specifics)

  • Deal Health: "Which deals need help and exactly why"

  • Pipeline Reality: "What patterns separate closers from hopers"

Product Insights

  • VOC Analysis: "Top 5 feature requests with context and urgency"

  • Market Positioning: "How customers describe us vs. competitors"

  • Objection Patterns: "What concerns kill deals and how to handle them”

Customer Health

  • Account Risk Indicators: "Which customers mentioned budget cuts, leadership changes, or satisfaction issues"

  • Expansion Opportunities: "What additional use cases or departments customers are discussing"

  • Renewal Intelligence: "Early warning signals based on engagement patterns and sentiment trends"

And more!
